Bloggers Code of Conduct

I’m sure most of us on the forum have some involvement in a blog, whether we read them or author them. With all this talk about a Bloggers Code of Conduct, I wanted to see what everyones opinions are on it. Does it make a difference and would you follow it?

    I think its stupid. Blogging should be about unfettered communication, not about “not hurting feelings.” And if you don’t like nasty comments, moderate them! It’s your site or your communication channel. Also, be careful with your public information if you don’t want to receive threats or nasty emails. It really is about common sense, and “doing unto others.” At any rate I don’t see this code of ethics doing any better then other simple idealistic ideas.
