vector on life

Monday, 25 June 2007 @ 16:50

Recently, I have really been enjoying artwork that is a composition of crisp vector art overlaid on a collage of disposable or old, out of style materials. Is there a name for this style, even if just slang? What would you call combining these mediums is this way? I find the intersection between rough and smooth stimulating. Consider the following two examples done on a creased, heavy brown paper and old wallpaper with floral and stripped patterns.

I love the energy that I can feel in the pieces. Perhaps they are the work of multiple artists—photographers and illustrators—but the assumed adventure of discovery and creation is exciting to me. I enjoy looking for things everyday items such as this that most people would pass by and imagining what story it is trying to tell.

Flash Website Developer

Monday, 25 June 2007 @ 16:25

I am currently working on updating my personal photography website. I am wondering if you could provide me with a price quote on what you charge to create a flash site. I have already started making the site (with my limited flash knowledge). I am interested in finding someone who would be able to help me finish the site. I know there are things that I want on the site that I am unable to complete. I basicaly have the whole thing finished, I need help with the portfolio/slideshow section (with hidden thumbs menu) If you could please contact me and we can discuss the details of the project. Thank you.

job announcement form no longer requires account

Sunday, 19 October 2008 @ 18:50

I am pleased to announce that the job announcement form on the website no longer requires the user to be logged in. This is significant as most people posting job announcements are managers, human resources staff, or recruiters and therefor have no reason to have an account. If you are someone that only created an account to post a job, please send me a note so that we can remove your profile.
