Fat Flake Ski Utah Festival

Saturday, 13 October 2007 @ 1:05

Brandon Knowlden and crew at Struck just finished some event collateral for Ski Utah’s annual Fat Flak Festival.

The event is going to rock and we’re trying to help them promote it locally. [The image of the poster below] is the limited edition, silkscreened poster we designed for the event.”

    Who did the printing?

Here is a really dumb question, what is the difference between silk screening and other methods?

For posters at Omniture, I use Alexander’s Print Advantage for Lambda RGB posters that have a flawless finish.

Silk screening is very different from digital printing or offset printing. With silk screening, a screen (fabric) is created for each color with holes where that color should appear and then ink is forced through holes with a scraper. This process is repeated for each screen/color. It is a very manual processes.
