Friday, 29 February 2008 @ 10:24

Brad McCall and I are representing Utah and Omniture at the Future of Web Apps conference in Miami.

Future of Web Apps

After it ends, I’ll post some of the interesting tid bits I walked away with. In the meantime, one of the things I love about these conferences are the slew of new websites I learn about. Here are some that have caught my eye.

New site about Jesus Christ launched

Wednesday, 27 February 2008 @ 11:21

The North Temple crew and the LDS Church Internet group have designed and launched another new site this week “about the Lord Jesus Christ and His essential role in our lives.” The site is an excellent example of good web design, was featured in CSS Beauty and BestWebGallery, and is a breath of fresh air amongst all of the “web 2.0″ style.

February gathering: Renee Lee on Photography

Tuesday, 26 February 2008 @ 13:29

Don’t forget that our February gathering is tomorrow night, Wednesday, 27 February. I am excited to announce that Renee Lee will be presenting on photography. Renee runs the Salt Lake Photo Club and will come to talk her work and tips and tricks.

As usual, we meet at seven o’clock at Retrospect Studios downtown (230 South 500 West #245, second floor, around corner). The building is on the West side of the street and says ARTSPACE across the front. Park in the lot just South of the Artspace lot to avoid getting towed (in the un-numbered spaces).

Please spread the word. We are excited to see you there!

BYU Illustration Alumni dinner

Wednesday, 20 February 2008 @ 19:20

Merideth Gimbel is organizing a casual BYU Illustration Alumni dinner on 4 March. Those interested will be gathering at Mimi’s Cafe in Orem at seven pm.

From her post on the Illustration Rocks! blog:

I’m beyond excited to hang out with you all. Bring pics of the stuff you are working on published pieces and/or your sketchbook so we can all catch up. Give me a ring or drop me a line to let me know if you plan on coming.”

job announcement form no longer requires account

Sunday, 19 October 2008 @ 18:50

I am pleased to announce that the job announcement form on the website no longer requires the user to be logged in. This is significant as most people posting job announcements are managers, human resources staff, or recruiters and therefor have no reason to have an account. If you are someone that only created an account to post a job, please send me a note so that we can remove your profile.
