Spring shoot at Tibblefork

Saturday, 29 March 2008 @ 20:06

I drove up to Tibblefork reservoir with my daughter this morning to go exploring. There was still more snow than I expected, but we had a great time. There were people sledding, a few fishermen, and some ducks braving the cold water. The wind was cold but it was beautiful. Between the sun ducking in and out of the clouds, I was able to get some great shots around the water. It was very interesting seeing nature in transition—the old melting away and the new beginning to bud. I was especially intrigued by the algae growing on the retaining walls and enjoyed trying to catch water droplets falling from a shrinking bank of snow.

Social networking is definitely the popular topic of the moment. It’s going to be interesting to see where it takes us – especially if we can get all of the social networking sites to work together. Speaking of social networking, who is on Twitter? My Twitter name is kittygutz – feel free to follow me.

Post to group through Google Wave

Thursday, 15 October 2009 @ 16:35

I have created a Google Group for us so that you may “wave” to everyone in the group via Google Wave. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a pretty URL or email address because they were already used and Google has a lame rule that they can only be used once, even if the previous instance has been deleted (which was by me, which makes it even more lame).

Visit the Google Group home page for more information. Join the group and then add the address “utah-graphic-arists@googlegroups.com” to your Google Contacts list. You can then add the group address to new waves and everyone will have access to it.

Note that Wave will bark that that user does not have a valid Wave account when you try to add it. Ignore that and simply strike the return key and the address will be added to your contact list.
