Park City Dance Logo Critique

Hey. I was wondering if everyone would take at this logo that I am about to present to a client and offer some feedback / criticism / thoughts / etc…
In case you aren’t able to tell from the logo it’s for a dance studio up here in Park City. Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Alex
I like the e - exclamation point! But the logo suggests the organization only caters to modern dance due to your use of a condensed-sans-serif typeface. If they do more then just modern dance, you may want to throw in some other elements to suggest these other genres of dance. Obviously you’ll want to be careful so it doesn’t get too distracting or unbalanced.
I like it. The exclamation point is cool, but it feels too similar to E! Entertaimment Television, Inc. logo for me.
Can we see the color version? Or is it always black-n-white? I like the playfulness of the letter combinations, but only the first letter is lower-case - was that intentional? It might be nice to include another lower case leter - perhaps the “C” to really show the mixing of “old” and “young” (Upper and lower case).
Thanks a great suggestion, Brad, about uppers and lowers. I too am interested to see how Alex applies color to this, especially with the letters overlapping slightly. One other thing I was just noticing is that the third line seems slightly off to the left. In pixels, at this resolution, I would slide it over one. It’s not much but it would be aligned better.
I would say to try doing it all lowercase, same effect, and possibly in color. The type setting on the sub lines is great though.
