I started drawing when I was in elementary school, mostly airplanes and cars. I was in art and drawing programs through out Jr. High and High School. In high school I got interested in street art or graffiti which really furthered the development of my art and led to my attending the Salt Lake Community College where I enrolled in there multimedia program. I won an award of excellence in the 1998 student show for an abstract charcoal drawing. This is where I discovered the joys of computer graphics and software such as 3D Studio max and Photoshop. In addition I also traveled to France and Ireland to study the work of masters like Renoir, Picasso and Caravaggio. After leaving the Community college I went on to earn my Bachelors degree in Digital Design and began working for C.R. England, a national trucking company in Salt Lake. At C.R. England I am the one and only artist employed by them. I am responsible for creating print materials, motion video and computer animation for there training materials. I find a lot of my work is influenced by what I learn or find in nature, science books or journals. Like most artists I feel I am just trying to understand my world. But since I am such a visual person I must go further than just reading about it, I must create it. To me the discovery is why I do art. A lot of my work actually never gets finished because I come to understand a subject before it is completed and therefore have no further passion for that work. http://viro.cgsociety.org

job announcement form no longer requires account

Sunday, 19 October 2008 @ 18:50

I am pleased to announce that the job announcement form on the website no longer requires the user to be logged in. This is significant as most people posting job announcements are managers, human resources staff, or recruiters and therefor have no reason to have an account. If you are someone that only created an account to post a job, please send me a note so that we can remove your profile.
