Tour of Atelier.180 Gallery

Monday, 24 September 2007 @ 10:17

For our September gathering, we will be entreated with a tour of the new Atelier.180 Gallery in Salt Lake. For those that are new, we meet each month on the fourth Wednesday, at seven o’clock. The gallery is located at 328 West 200 South.

From their press release: “Located in the heart of the Art District in Downtown Salt Lake, Atelier.180, specializing in local artists, brings together many mediums and styles from painting and photography to sculpture and pottery pleasing to all artistic palettes. We host traditional landscapes, wildlife, and portraits while also delivering highly contemporary and cutting-edge art forms such as spray art and pop art. With over 20 artists to choose from, Atelier.180 gives you an ideal gallery to select art pieces for every aspect of your life. Our emerging and established artists strive to provide you with beautiful, original works of art to appreciate everywhere from your home to your office. These artists have won an array of awards for their works and truly represent a fine collection of local art.”

Location found, June gathering officially scheduled

Tuesday, 5 June 2007 @ 9:52

I am pleased to announce that we have secured a location for our monthly gatherings. Faustina restaurant downtown has graciously agreed to sponsor our group and provide their downstairs banquet room for our use. This should be a nice, casual place for us to meet, have drinks and/or food if people wish while mingling before or afterwards, and a private area for presentations or lectures.

If you are not already subscribed to the calendar feed, I’d recommend doing so. For June, Bryce Knudson will present on letterpress, his studio, and display some of his amazing work. This will be on Wednesday, the twenty-seventh at seven pm. Spread the word and tell your friends and coworkers. This should be a great event.

spread the word about the job list

Thursday, 19 April 2007 @ 10:02

Spread the word to your employers, clients, and network about our job announcement list. Moderated and focused on a specific industry, it provides a value that no other channels can offer. Broadcasting relavent and trusted announcements directly to interested individuals, the announcement list eliminates the hassle of candidates having to wade through thousands of unapplicable results on general job boards and showing up for an interview only to find out that they are significantly over-qualified, under-qualified, or simply not interested. Instead of employers or clients passively waiting for their position to be noticed, let them know that they can email Utah’s best directly.

make sure you’re subscribed to the mailing list

Monday, 9 April 2007 @ 9:30

I did not get the automated process for submitting a request to be subscribed to the mailing list implemented into the website registration form until this weekend. That means that there are several of you that have signed up that may not be subscribed to the mailing list yet (as you would have had to do it manually). There is nothing wrong with a conscious choice to not participate in the mailing list, but I don’t want to miss anyone that may have simply not subscribed. Doing so is as easy as entering your email address in the form here.

job announcement form no longer requires account

Sunday, 19 October 2008 @ 18:50

I am pleased to announce that the job announcement form on the website no longer requires the user to be logged in. This is significant as most people posting job announcements are managers, human resources staff, or recruiters and therefor have no reason to have an account. If you are someone that only created an account to post a job, please send me a note so that we can remove your profile.
