Brandon Knowlden and crew at Struck just finished some event collateral for Ski Utah’s annual Fat Flak Festival.

The event is going to rock and we’re trying to help them promote it locally. [The image of the poster below] is the limited edition, silkscreened poster we designed for the event.”

Wonderful replacement font for Highway Gothic

Thursday, 9 August 2007 @ 21:44

Here is a great New York Times Article on Typography. I’m happy about how much attention has gone into the development of the Clearview font. I’m also really happy about the press writing a great article on type design and the importance of choosing a well constructed typeface.

I also look forward to a more legible highway font. Check out those nice open counter spaces. No more cramped “a” and “e” figures.

What do you think about the font? Is it the most legible?

I also like how the article describes the difficulty Meeker had in helping to educate the Federal Highway Administration. What can we do as designers to help educate the public of the importance of this font decision?

Did you learn any other lessons from this article/experience?

job announcement form no longer requires account

Sunday, 19 October 2008 @ 18:50

I am pleased to announce that the job announcement form on the website no longer requires the user to be logged in. This is significant as most people posting job announcements are managers, human resources staff, or recruiters and therefor have no reason to have an account. If you are someone that only created an account to post a job, please send me a note so that we can remove your profile.
