Women’s website for Specialized
Friday, 7 March 2008 @ 22:55Struck has just finished designing a woman’s cycling site for Specialized. The integration of video was done very nicely and I was impressed at the effort put forth to make the flash site’s content dynamically driven.
This full-flash site is complete XML fed, which allows for the entire site to be repopulated with nearly any language. … We designed the site with a tremendous amount of updateability built right into it, so that the pros at Specialized can easily and frequently post the latest and greatest products and events. Upon return visit, users will see a living site with new products, events, and videos. This form of targeted marketing is has proven to be extremely successful, especially when dealing with a brand with a following like Specialized.”
New site about Jesus Christ launched
Wednesday, 27 February 2008 @ 11:21The North Temple crew and the LDS Church Internet group have designed and launched another new site this week “about the Lord Jesus Christ and His essential role in our lives.” The site is an excellent example of good web design, was featured in CSS Beauty and BestWebGallery, and is a breath of fresh air amongst all of the “web 2.0″ style.

web assumptions
Wednesday, 9 January 2008 @ 18:59I was listening to a podcast by Phil McKinney and he frequently counsels listeners to question what you assume about services or products to provide insight for innovation opportunities. So, I compiled a list of what I (and some friends) assume about the web. There are some great sites which break these assumptions in a great way; and, there are some sites that unfortunately suffer from breaking these assumptions.
What else do we assume about the web?
Maybe some of the assumptions will spark some ideas for your projects.
I look forward to seeing your responses.
