Position:
INTERACTION DESIGNER
$60,000 - $80,000

Description:
The Interactive Designer conceptualizes and creates graphic and user interface solutions for websites, portals and web applications under the direction of the Director of Creative Services and/or Creative Director. Is proficient in using a combination of mainstream design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) as well as motion design packages (Flash, AfterEffects, Swift 3D, etc). Works in tandem with the Design and Development teams, collaboratively delivering quality client solutions using the Rain Interactive project methodology. For certain projects, this position also requires working with the client and project team to employ the Rain Interactive Prototyping approach to define navigation and content flow for websites and/or web applications.

Required skills:
Create and present effective design/graphic solutions
Creatively and appropriately animate and add interactivity to static interface designs
Follow a design brief and brand identity standards
Estimate project effort required
Contribute to the navigational and instructional design of websites
Prepare and optimize graphics for implementation by developers
Organize and manage content flow
Integrate interactivity and animation
Record work time in detail

Required experience:
Preferable design degree or diploma
Excellent layout and typography skills
Solid understanding of user interface fundamentals, usability, and information hierarchy for websites and web applications
Proven commercial experience in an interactive design role
Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign proficiency
Front-end Flash proficiency a must, other motion design proficiency (After Effects, Swift 3D, Maya, etc.) helpful
Excellent portfolio and work examples
Written comprehension skills
