Here's some feedback on the PSD comp:
1. Align all the elements to a grid. Nothing lines up, and it's close
enough that it looks sloppy. If you mean for the elements to be
asymmetirical, make it more obvious. Bring the logo down and to the
right more, and line up the nav's top with the logo top. Align the
left edge of the logo and the thumbnails. Align the breadcrumbs and
the top of the main photo. Everything will feel much mrore polished
with just these little details.
2. Try a more intersting arrow. Those are a little boring (my opinion *wink* )
3. Make the lines the separate the nave elements the same gray as in
the logo. It will tie them together. Remove the line under tha nav. It
isn't necessary and just adds visual noise.
On the HTML page:
The navigation is cut off in my browser (Safari on a Mac) That's bad
for usability. I would rethink the navigation structure so that is is
more usable. Nested menus on a site of this size are really
unnecessary. Either consolidate some sections, or rethink the
information architecture. Can the engagements, bridal, ceremony, and
reception sections all be on one page? That's how I have seen it on
most photographers' sites.
Hope that helps!
