[UGAF] Critiques

I've been following this conversation and wanted to get my 2 cents in:

I am going to have to disagree with the idea that the logo needs to convey
that it's an online/computer based training. First, I think that a customer
would be turned off by the fact that it's a machine, not a human that's
training them. Humanizing the company is probably a stronger marketing move.
Second, I think it's better to emphasize the training aspect than the online
aspect.

I do agree with an earlier comment that the logo would probably be stronger
if the "train" part of the word were more emphasised. Simply bolding that
and unbolding the rest will probably do the trick. For what it's worth, I
like the use of the font in the bottom of
http://www.poderherbal.com/images/trainquil2.jpg the best. I like how the
top of the T and the dots on the i's lined up and worked together.

Personally, its not so much the dude that bothers me, as it is the pie
chart. To me a pie chart represents a status meeting, not training or
learning something new. Maybe scrap the imagery you have altogether and try
to come up with something that suggests *learning*. An apple or pencil might
be too cliche, but something in that direction.
